Seeking the Federal Liberal Nomination in Flamborough-Glanbrook. My name is Alison Gohel. I am a tax advisor, a wife and a mother of two, Alexandre and Eloise. I have always believed in public service, a belief that led me to devote many volunteer hours to the Liberal Party over a span of 30 years, starting when I was eight years’ old, canvassing with my parents in my home town of Regina, Saskatchewan, for Ralph Goodale. I am fully committed to the Liberal government’s focus on growing the middle class. An important element of that initiative involves ensuring the tax system treats all Canadians fairly, including self-employed business owners, farmers and families. My 10 years’ experience in tax means that I have an in-depth knowledge addressing this relatively complex area of public policy.
